The Duke Materials Research Society University Chapter was represented by its officer team at the Fall 2013 MRS conference in Boston from December 1-6. President Erich Radauscher, Vice President Isvar Cordova, Secretary Kate Marusak, and Treasurer Adria Wilson along with faculty advisor Dr. Jeff Glass (additional faculty advisor Dr. Adrienne Stiff-Roberts couldn't attend conference) received the official chapter charter on behalf of Duke MRS at the plenary session on December 1st.
The Duke MRS chapter began in June of 2013 and already includes more than 50 graduate and undergraduate members from multiple departments across the university.
