NTFL @ MRS/ASM/AVS/AReMS Joint Symposium at NCSU
Research scientist Dr. Jason Amsden recently joined graduate students Stephen Ubnoske and Isvar Cordova in presenting at the 2014 Annual Joint Symposium at North Carolina State University. Dr. Amsden shared some of the NTFL's latest progress developing a miniaturized mass spectrometer via microfabrication and aperture coding techniques. Stephen Ubnoske presented a poster on the potential of the NTFL's novel carbon nanostructures (e.g. CNTs, CNSs, g-CNTs) grown via plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) for supercapacitor electrodes. Isvar Cordova's oral presentation employing atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the development of nanostructured photoanodes for water oxidation won runner-up as the "Best Student Talk!"
