Last week, Isvar Cordova and Erich Radauscher attended the national MRS Fall Conference in Boston, MA.

On Wednesday, Erich gave an oral presentation entitled "Failure Mechanisms and the Effect of Multi-Layer Metal Catalysts on Carbon Nanotube Field Emission Cathodes" in the Microelectromechanical Systems-Materials and Devices symposium. This work summarized a branch of the research Erich is conducting towards development of a micro-mass spectrometer. Isvar presented the results of his recent research during Thursday's poster session as part of the Sustainable Solar Energy Conversion Using Earth-Abundant Materials symposium. Isvar's poster titled "Decoupling the Surface and Bulk Effects of Nitrogen-Doping of ALD TiO2 Films for Photoelectrochemical Water Oxidation" was honored with a nomination for the Best Poster Presentation Award.
